Condensation can come in various types & severity. Two neighbours can live in identical houses, but have a completely different experience of condensation (if at all).
It's generally down to lifestyle & conditions.
The creation of a lot of unchecked moisture can unfortunately lead to mould growth & damage to materials.
Outside surface.
When condensation is visible on the outside surface, this isn't a fault. Due to modern technology & recent improvements in double glazed sealed units the increased reduction of heat means that there is reduced thermal tramsission to the outside which dorsn't help warm the outer pane.
